Law Industry Marketing Case Study

In this case study, we show how we worked with a personal injury and medical malpractice law firm on their digital presence. Doing a strategy assessment allowed us to narrow their target market, improve their web presence, and streamline their sales strategy to improve conversions.

The Challenge

Buxbaum Daue faced a number of marketing challenges when they came to us for a marketing consultation. We started with a Strategy First to address their main concerns with a measured and consistent approach.

Branding

Buxbaum Daue had unfocused branding with clear colors and fonts but no voice, tone, or target audience. Their web & ad designs/copy weren't aligned and didn't distinguish them from their competitors. On top of all that, they underwent a name change that wasn't reflected consistently across the web.

Marketing Website

The Buxbaum Daue website was dated, lacked the latest in SEO, and didn't have a way to funnel leads. They didn't view their website as a sales tool and relied heavily on Yellowpages ads to bring in new leads.

Strategy

The world of marketing for attorneys can be very competitive. Lawyers can spend thousands of dollars per month on ad campaigns and invest heavily into SEO for their websites. Buxbaum Daue needed a strategy and strong foundation to see what their competitors were doing and how to narrow their focus on the most effective ad, SEO, web, and digital marketing methods.

Why did Buxbaum Daue choose First Call?

The challenges Buxbaum Daue faced are common for law firms.

  • Why isn't my business ranking on Google?

  • What are my competitors doing differently?

  • Do I even need social media?

  • Why is my Google listing wrong?

  • Should I be writing content?

  • What kind of marketing matters most?

The team at Buxbaum Daue specifically said that they felt lost in digital marketing. They had invested some money into their website and ads and were spending a significant amount of money on YellowPages ads. They were open to Strategy because it helped clarify some of the things they were missing.

The Solution

I think agriculture is the ultimate solution for the growing world. That’s why I believe in making hay when the sun shines. It will eventually help us big time.

Branding Guide

We established clear guidelines for Buxbaum Daue's branding. We found many gaps as a brand guide had never been established. We created:

  • clearly defined color palette
  • an ideal font scheme
  • a defined brand voice for all copy
  • core messaging

Improved Funnel

We refined the sales funnel for visitors to the site. Our role was to create content that helped the visitor to the site get the answers they need to tough questions before reaching out. We wanted their site to serve as a resource as much as a sales tool.

In addition to clearing up the copy and direction of the site, we also updated and refined their Google ads campaigns for better persona targeting.
